What I do best: …communications. It’s all about communications. I love language. I am intrigued by the process that transports an idea from one head into another. Much of my experience has been in editing scientific documents, and I often say, “What good is your science if you can’t effectively share it with others?” The accuracy and precision that one devotes to science procedure and analysis will matter little if the results are not communicated with the same attention to detail. That means this: no sloppy writing allowed! Get the words right. Be proud of your final product!
But hey - I recognize that it is much easier to tear apart than to write - that’s why I edit. I have a lot of experience in the biological sciences. Over 15 years worth, in fact. If you are bogged down in trying to communicate complicated concepts so people without your background can understand them - if you haven’t taken a writing class since the required English 101 and really don’t intend to - and if you’d rather do the science than devote time to getting out that final deliverable (upon which you will be judged, may I remind!) - I can help you.
